Cyprus Biking Adventure
Cyprus is a small island, Nonetheless it still has everything a bicycle owner can dream of: mountain ways (the Troodos), great shorelines, seaside bike rides, very good food, sunny days along with warm hospitality- with a lot of people speaking in English, and plenty of good hotels and lodges to stay. As there was room along our planned Cyprus cycling route to rent cycles, we had no choice but to consider our own bicycles with us. Most of us packed our Santa Jones – Superlight bicycles inside a box, and as we organized to rent a car we-took a car bicycle rack with our value.
Packing bicycles, as well as shipping and delivery them by air will be something we always attempt to avoid. Even though acting like active and spoiled adults, even as we left the task of providing to Chen Lazami, all of our long time loyal mechanic from your bike shop, we continue to hated the game of “are we going to get our own bicycles on the airport without trouble? ” This seemed more vital at that time- much more as compared to Cyprus biking itself.
Significantly to our relief – the bicycles did survive both equally trips, and the only minimal surprise that we had, has been with the air shipping back from Cyprus, by Cyprus Air. We were requested to cover 30 pounds (around 45 US$) for air transport. I would advise you to check beforehand with your travel agent if this is essential. As we had a rental automobile with us and our voyages were (almost) circular equally days, we did not must carry along too many things- only the necessary minimum components that we usually carry to get a regular Point of rental biking trip backside at home.
We arrived at Larnaca airport around 9PM in addition to rented a family car (no pre reservations were necessary, and it was very simple). We unpacked our motorcycles and loaded them in bicycle car rack. All of us made a phone call to your host, and he came to the particular village center to guide people to his wonderful BED AND BREAKFAST. At midnight we found themselves in 2 separate stunning old style rooms, ready for another Cyprus biking days. The next wind storm during that time of the year was still pretty warm, so we did not use heavy clothing with us. We all just had our summer season riding clothes.
